Amber Fort (pronounced Amir)

• Amber was the capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs from 1037 until 1728.
• We arrived at the gates of the fort on elephants back
• The building of the fort-palace was started by Raja Man Singh, a noted Rajput general in Akbar's army in 1600, and the architecture shows a distinct Mughal influence.
• We then went to town and walked the market place which our video and photos show but can not let you experience the smells of the spices, different coffees, teas, and even flavored Tabaccos.
